The District blames the student—Really?

SOURCE

Ashly McGlone, from the Voice of San Diego, reports the “student … was having a sexual relationship with a teacher … when school officials confronted her during her senior year … they were accusatory … They blamed her for protecting him. Even though it was obvious she was troubled, they did not treat her as a victim but as an accomplice….”

“District officials transferred Sandknop (the teacher) from La Costa Canyon High to Carmel Valley Middle School … following an investigation into his relationship with a student … He remained in the school system for five more years.” This is another example of “Pass The Trash.”

Put students first by
shifting the culture from secrecy to transparency, from silencing to protecting victims, from protecting offenders to defending victims.
